With over 14 years experience in the Retail industry, Rashid has played a integral role in some of the Middle East's most successful shopping centres, for some of the region’s most respected mall developers.
This three time CEO, has built and led organisations that delivered the entire retail asset spectrum. As CEO for Emaar Malls Group, Rashid led the company’s retail development plans across the Middle East, North Africa and the Asian subcontinent, which included the Dubai Mall, one of the world's largest shopping centres with a GLA of over 3.7 million sq ft.
Rashid graduated from the University of Denver in Colorado, USA with a bachelor degree, both Finance and Business Administration and was awarded two honours for scholastic achievement.
He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centres and is the current serving President for the Middle East Council of Shopping Centres.
