Janusz Kulik, born in November 1962, was appointed Member of the Board of REWE International AG on 1 April 2009.
Janusz Kulik started his career in the food retail industry in 1994 with Metro C+C in Poland where he held several positions before moving to Carrefour Poland in 1998. Janusz Kulik joined the REWE Group in 2002 as CEO of miniMAL Poland and subsequently of BILLA Russia. In 2007, he became head of the Discount National and International business segment and was also appointed chairman of the Discount division's management.
As Member of the Board of REWE International AG Janusz Kulik is responsible for the company's full-range business in Central and Eastern Europe: in Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Romania, Russia, Slovakia and Ukraine.
Janusz Kulik holds a degree in engineering from the Academy of Mining and Metallurgy in Cracow and a Leadership degree from the University of Maryland.
