THE LOGISTICS OF E-COMMERCE - MAXIMISING RETAILER PROFITABILITY

Thursday, 14th November 2013 from 10:30 am to 11:15 am

Panel Oxford room Retail & Retail Innovation
With the continued rise of online shopping, the retail and logistics industry is experiencing an ever-increasing expectation from consumers; including the demand for reduced delivery times, flexible delivery solutions and ease of returning goods purchased online. But what are the consequences for retailers, and how should they be adapting their supply chain to meet consumer needs and ensure maximum profit? Will we continue to see a polarisation of demand between very large units and specialised smaller units? What building specifications and capabilities are required to support faster delivery times? CBRE, alongside a panel of industry experts, will explore how property requirements are changing as a consequence of supply chain restructuring and how efficient supply chains can increase retailer's profitability.
