In 2002, Chris founded Chris Igwe International, successfully repositioning or growing brands across Europe. Prior to that he was European Real Estate Director for Foot Locker and then Gap. In 2000 Chris joined ICSC as its Managing Director Europe.
Chris is a highly sought after international speaker, has been a Jury Member for many international retail organizations and features regularly in Europe's leading trade publications. He is a Chartered Civil Engineer, European Engineer and a member of both ICSC and ULI. He is a member of ICSC's European Research Group and ULI's Retail and Leisure Council. Chris is a co-founder of Retailp.com, the leading European retail information website.
Chris holds a BSc from Newcastle University, England and an MSc in Geotechnical Engineering from Heriot-Watt University in Scotland.
Chris is a qualified Executive Coach, a Corporate Speaking Trainer and Mentor to many across the globe.
Born and raised in his native country, Nigeria, Chris is multi-lingual in English. French, German and now rusty Dutch. His hobbies include teaching life skills to children and young people, sports, and going to the movies with his children!
